I am married with two children, six grand-children, and great grandchildren. My wife has a prominent profile in British Vajrayana, since Chime Rinpoche publicly declared on many occasions that in a difficult time when wolves wanted to take Marpa House from its founder, Lama Chime Rinpoche, she was one of only two who supported him openly in the face of the wolf pack. Without these two, Rinpoche said, Marpa House would not exist today. The wolves waylaid me, and I sent them crawling back to their dark lair. My wife acted wonderfully.
One of my children, with his wife's support, is an international media-based influencer developing awareness of the mind nature of animals, and the need to prevent illegal trade and the adoption of pets in inappropriate ways and surroundings. Corvids are a specialty.
Our first-born has, with her husband, devoted her life to the upbringing of three wonderful girls.
In sport, I wore an England shirt when playing in the golf croquet world championship 2013 in Egypt.
Finally, I am a several-time near-death survivor, thanks to the wonderful ambulance service and British NHS.
