Kyabje Chime Rinpoche International Archive
In 2018 I realised that there is a need for Chime Rinpoche's teachings to be collected, collated, preserved and stored securely so that, for posterity, they can be made available to scholars, students, and the like. I suggested the project to Rinpoche and in the same year founded KCRIA with his blessing and enthusiastic support.
A team of volunteers, the first ones being approved by Rinpoche, was set up and the work began under my leadership. Shortly afterwards an Executive Board of Directors was initiated, and a prominent student became the chair.
I am still heavily involved as a member & advisor. I do promote KCRIA as much when, and as much as I can.
THE TEAM ACQUIRES AUDIO RECORDINGS, VIDEO RECORDINGS AND OTHER RELATED MATERIAL SUCH AS NOTIFICATIONS OF TEACHINGS.
IF IT IS APPROPRIATE AND POSSIBLE, DIGITISED COPIES ARE MADE AND THEN STORED ELECTRONICALLY IN A SAFE 'VAULT', ACCESSIBLE UNDER SECURE RULES. COPIES ARE BEING MADE FOR GENERAL USE, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC SUMMARISING, & COPIES FOR STUDIES BY APPLICATION ~ ESSENTIALLY, A LIVING GIGITAL REFERENCE LIBRARY.
KCRIA is unique because it has the international dimension. The acquired originals, coming by agreement from the co-owners of copyright, are kept securely and appropriately maintained by a dedicated voluntary team. Presently, material has been donated by agreement from the UK and Germany in particular, but also from other countries in the European region, U.S.A, and Australia ~ anywhere where Kyabje Chime Rinpoche taught publicly and was recorded.
The Archive is designed to contain all public teachings (including those given on social media), and specifically not private teachings, reminiscences, general photographs, and such.
